Jogando para um público de 3.650 pagantes e 4.050 presentes, o Fluminense levou um prejuízo de R$ 4.310, enquanto a Cabofriense, equipe mandante da partida, teve também um prejuízo, mas na casa dos R$ 6.645. já a Ferj, organizadora da competição teve um lucro de R$ 8.700.
Não foi só o Flu que se deu “mal” com a renda dessa primeira rodada. Nos jogos dos outros chamados grandes Flamengo e Botafogo também tiveram prejuízo na bilheteria. Apenas Vasco e Ferj terminaram com saldo positivo.
A partida entre Volta Redonda e Botafogo, disputada no estádio Raulino de Oliveira, em Volta Redonda, registrou um público superior aos 4 mil pagantes gerando um prejuízo de 28.133 para o alvinegro e R$ 18.755 para a equipe do Voltaço. A Ferj, lucrou R$ 7.416.
O jogo do Maracanã, entre Flamengo e Macaé, registrou um público com mais de 28 mil pessoas no estádio e mesmo assim gerou um prejuízo ao rubro-negro de R$ 203.007. A FERJ lucrou R$ 53.633. Já o Macaé, apesar de mandante da partida não teve prejuízo. Isso se explica devido ao regulamento do Campeonato que prevê a divisão do lucro nos jogos entre grandes e pequenos no Maracanã. O mesmo não acontece em caso de prejuízo, que deve ser pago integralmente pelo clube grande, ainda que o pequeno seja o mandante, como aconteceu neste jogo.
Único jogo superavitário da 1a rodada do carioca, a partida entre Vasco e Bangu rendeu R$ 100.188 aos cofres de cada clube. A Ferj, levou R$ 60.537.
