De acordo com o jornalista e repórter da Rádio Globo, Victor Lessa, Nenê em entrevista ao jornal L’Équipe, afirmou que teve a possibilidade de disputar a Copa do Mundo do Brasil, em 2014, pela seleção francesa.
Após grandes atuações com a camisa do PSG, o então técnico Laurent Blanc fez o convite ao jogador, que acabou não aceitando porque ainda sonhava com uma chance na seleção brasileira. Nenê se arrependeu porque a convocação para defender o Brasil acabou nunca acontecendo.
O meia Nenê foi destaque no jornal francês L’Equipe, que está realizando uma série de reportagens com atletas brasileiros que passaram pelo PSG.

front page and watch how they create post titles to grab people to open the links.
You might add a related video or a related picture or two to grab readers excited about everything’ve got to say.
